Session Description:
"In 2000, Nelson Mandela said: 'Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, it has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand.'"
"For many kids, life feels out of control. Sport puts the ball in their hands and provides both a positive direction to grow in. The best programs create the conditions for young people to develop as leaders and mentors for others to create change both in their communities and in the world at large. We will hear from leaders all over the world who are empowering young people to be leaders of change, each in their own way. We’ll hear personal stories and best practices learned, as well as practical frameworks for how they are enabling youth leadership. Every audience member will leave inspired, connected with new teammates who've joined the event, and learn how they can get the ball rolling for good in their communities right away."
